Getting Savings When Spring Cleaning
Often, people find that their workload has grown so cumbersome that there's hardly enough time to dedicate to spring cleaning.
Due to busy schedules and heavy workloads, most homeowners now find it difficult to appreciate keeping their homes clean. However, it is of absolute importance to keep a clean house. A clean house protects the families from exposure to dust, dust mites, and other allergens in the air. If spring cleaning is an impossible chore to do, then it is important to at least clean the house regularly so that there's no need for one big cleaning spree.
Begin by looking at the topmost portion of your home: the roof. Green moulds that may grow on your roof may be countered by sprinkling some detergent powder there. This detergent powder will not damage your roof tiles, but only remove and restrain the growth of moss on your roof. This is an easy, no-fuss way to keep moss at bay. There is no need to worry even after the rainy spells come. The residue of the detergent that remains on the roof will help prevent future moss growth.
Crayon scribbles that your children may have drawn on your walls need not be a problem either. It can be remedied by scrubbing your wall with a rag that has been soaked in baking soda and water. This mixture is potent in removing all these writings that were written using crayons or chalk. The process of removing and scrubbing it off is not easy, but it is a much cheaper alternative to having to repaint the walls. Remember, too, that even if you repaint your walls, this may not stop your children from writing on them again.
When spring cleaning, you may notice that there are some price tag adhesives that cannot be lifted off the object that you bought. A cleanser, branded WD-40, can do the trick. A simple spray on the target area and a light scrub will easily remove the adhesive without damaging the plastic object.
For dirty, cloudy windows, you can use vinegar to clean both sides. Window cleaning agents can be very expensive, so vinegar is a very inexpensive alternative. You can then wipe the windows dry with newspapers. This will help ensure that you will avoid the appearance of streaks even when the weather is damp and cloudy.
Spring cleaning need not be an expensive, time-consuming activity. All you have to do is find out what cheap alternatives and inexpensive cleaning techniques you can employ, and you can clean your house without breaking the bank. Moreover, you can also schedule spring cleaning different areas of the house whenever your schedule allows it, so that you do not have to take much time off of work.
